Motivation
On a daily basis we are confronted with major economical, social and environmental challenges in our society. Only if every individual, company and government takes its own responsibility, we can work jointly towards a better future. Corporate Responsibility forms an important part of this. CSR is nothing more than bring together two seemingly irreconcilable ideas – making a profit versus taking care of our society and planet- in a constructive tension. By doing that CSR turns into a catalyst for new ways of thinking and working; for innovation. Nevertheless, CSR can only be successful if it creates value, is supported from within the organization and embodies the authenticity of the organization. Worldwide there are numerous fantastic examples of how CSR can make a difference, day in day out and I hope that many organizations will follow.
